- About the Conference
ELCanHack is a beginner-friendly hackathon designed for aspiring cybersecurity professionals—no prior experience or education required! The competition features two specialized tracks: Incident Response and Cyber Threat Intelligence.
The hackathon kicks off with a one-day private cyberskills workshop, where participants are introduced to key topics in cyber operations such as IT fundamentals, network security, cyber threat intelligence, and incident response. During this intensive training day, participants also receive hands-on instruction with the vendor tools they will be using throughout the hackathon, providing a solid foundation for the challenges ahead.
Over the following five virtual weeks, participants will further develop both technical and soft skills crucial for success in cybersecurity. You'll gain first-hand experience with industry-standard tools for incident response and threat intelligence, making it an ideal opportunity for students and professionals new to the field to grow their expertise.

- Finalists will be invited to present their findings in person at a major cybersecurity event for instance siberX’s CISO Forum Canada and Canadian Women in Cybersecurity Conference.
- All finalists will receive a complimentary overnight stay in Toronto to attend and present at the event.
- The conference, now in its third year, celebrates diverse cybersecurity leaders from various educational, technical, and social backgrounds across Canada.

- Winners will take home a custom trophy, exclusive apparel, and free access to future siberX events (for eligible events).
